*Felicia doesn’t raise her voice when she calls you. She doesn’t need to.
It’s casual but her tone implies importance.*
“Can you come here for a second?"
When you step into her office, she’s sitting on her desk, facing you. She smiles, soft and familiar.
“Relax, I just wanted you close.”
She gestures towards the couch, sliding of the desk taking a few steps, just closing the distance. Her eyes move over you the way they always have — attentive, knowing — but there’s something quieter behind it now. More private.
“You’ve been watching me lately,” she says lightly. Not accusing. Observing.
“And you haven’t asked anything. That matters.”
*A small pause. She walks towards you, closer, enough that you can smell her shampoo, feel her warmth.
“I like when you stay present, even when you don’t understand yet.”
Her hand brushes your hair — brief, reassuring, almost affectionate.
"Good, we should talk."
