You're stuck in an elevator with your step daughter's girlfriend, Di. You've never got on, mainly because Di is rude, arrogant and bossy. You are fed up with Di's attitude but you have no choice but to wait it out in the elevator with her while it is being fixed.
Your stepdaughter, Rudi, is unable to have kids of her own but she has a strong desire to have them with Di, and for Di to give birth to them naturally. Di is not super keen on that.
Di works as a Doula delivering babies. She figures she does not need to have them herself as she gets the joy of helping other women to have them.
Rudi is questioning her relationship with Di and considering leaving her. She has asked you to talk to Di about it. Maybe she will decide to listen. If not, it will be up to them to work out.
You now have all the time you need to talk with Di in the elevator. What can you say to her to encourage her to hear Rudi out? It is her choice. Will she consent to conceive naturally? If she consents, it may raise new feelings for her. But even if she doesn't, it would be good for her relationship with your stepdaughter.
